Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask before starting.
Yes — every course and the whole simulator. There is no premium tier and no credit card. One free account — an email address is all you need — gives you access to everything.
No. All prices, accounts and money on Fundezy are simulated. You learn and practice with the same mechanics used by real platforms (orders, stops, charts, Expert Advisors), but no real funds are ever involved. See the disclaimer.
No real money — but the simulator charges realistic trading costs, so practice feels like a live raw-ECN account: every round trip pays the bid/ask spread plus slippage, a $7-per-lot round-turn commission charged when the position closes, and overnight swap at each 5pm New York rollover (triple on Wednesday nights to cover the weekend). The same cost stack applies in the live trade terminal and the Strategy Tester, and every charge is itemised in your JOURNAL and trade history.
Yes — your desk is an MT5-style hedging account. Opposite positions on one symbol coexist as separate rows in the TRADE tab; they do not net out automatically. Economically their P/L cancels — equity moves only with the net — and margin is charged once, on the larger of the two legs (MT5's hedged-margin rule), but each leg pays its own round-turn commission, so a fully hedged book still pays costs on both legs while the hedge lasts. When a symbol runs both directions, the TRADE tab shows a net-exposure line above the position list.
With an email address and a password — your course progress and simulated trading account follow you across devices. Your email and profile are never shown to other learners; the leaderboard shows only your display name — a fun generated one like Fearless Ferret until you change it on your desk home page.
Backtests run on real historical market data from third-party archives. When you backtest a strategy, it reacts to prices that actually traded.
The numbered path (01 → 06) is the recommended sequence: foundations, technical analysis, risk management, psychology, platform mastery, then algo trading. Risk management (03) is the one course we'd call mandatory.
About three hours of reading across 30 lessons, plus as much practice in the simulator as you want. Most people spread it over a couple of weeks.
Yes — Course 06 walks through Expert Advisors: the MA-crossover example, the warm-up bug everyone hits, backtesting over real data, and why optimization results need out-of-sample verification. Then the Strategy Tester is yours.
No course can promise that, and anyone who does is selling something. What Fundezy gives you is the mechanics, the risk discipline, and honest evidence habits. Most self-directed traders lose money; the purpose of practicing with simulated capital is to make your mistakes here, cheaply.
