Leaderboard, Names and Privacy
How ranking works and how your identity stays yours.
Written and reviewed by the Fundezy team · how we produce this
The Leaderboard ranks long-run simulated performance across everyone learning on Fundezy — a source of motivation and of the most instructive data on the platform.
What ranks
Accounts are ranked on equity — where your trading has actually landed, floating P/L included. Because every account starts at the same simulated 100,000, the ranking measures performance, not deposit size. Margin rates are tiered per instrument the same way for every account: no structural shortcuts.
What the leaderboard teaches
Scroll it and you'll see the course-03 distribution in the wild:
- Top accounts are rarely the most active — they're the most consistent. Compounding at controlled risk beats sporadic heroics (Course 03, Lesson 5).
- Blown-up or deeply negative accounts cluster around over-trading signatures — many trades, deteriorating equity. The curve you learned about in drawdown math, made visible.
Use it as calibration, not competition: your benchmark is your own equity curve against your own risk plan.
Privacy model
Fundezy separates identity from visibility deliberately:
- You sign in with your email — that's for your convenience and cross-device progress.
- Other learners see only your leaderboard name — never your email, never your profile.
- Every account starts with a fun generated name (like Fearless Ferret). Change it on your desk home page — or roll a new one; anything reasonable works, and the leaderboard shows exactly that name.
Sportsmanship, briefly
It's a shared classroom. The point of ranking is to make disciplined process visible, not to reward gambling. If you ever see your name climbing because you took a 50-lot flyer — Course 03 has a word for that, and so does the drawdown table.
When you're ready
Leaderboard stable for a quarter, drawdown contained, journal reviewed weekly? That's the profile of someone ready to think about real capital — which is exactly when rereading Course 03 one more time is the best move available.
By the numbers
One design decision worth quoting: every account runs the same 100,000 balance at 1:30 — the leaderboard compares execution, not deposit size. Visibility is name-only: no balances, no positions, no trade history. What competitors see is your equity curve; what they don't see is everything else.
